  • David Kurtz

    Director of Worship          Email: david@eparkway.com

David was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA to Christian parents that raised him to know and love God and the church. Though God has used many people and circumstances to shape and mold David into the man he is today, it was this foundation of faith that has been the backbone of his life and ministry. David prayed to receive Christ as Savior at the age of 8 and was baptized by immersion soon after. From a young age, David sensed God's calling in his life to ministry and has been serving the Lord in a variety of capacities ever since. David married Mariel in 2011 and God has since blessed them with three beautiful kids—David Sion (2012), Adelyn Sophie-Grace (2013), and Kayden Alexandria (2016). David was called as interim Director of Worship in December of 2014 and served until he was appointed by the Council of Elders as the Director of Worship in April of 2015. David's aim is to make his whole life about the glory of Jesus Christ in all things as it relates to all of life. Getting to combine his love of people, music, and artistic expression is truly a joy each and every day. His hope for the church at Parkway is that they become a people known for being infectious in their love of God and love for each other; and that they passionately pursue the glory of Christ in all things, for their own true joy and complete satisfaction, to the glorious praise of our great God and risen King!
