What should i expect?

  • A warm welcome and friendly greeting from our First Impressions Team! They are here to answer your questions and help you navigate your worship experience with us.
  • We sing a blend of traditional and modern, Christ-centered music. We encourage biblical expressions of worship in our services that help us engage heart, mind, and body.
  • Biblical teaching that is Christ-centered and connects to life.
  • We celebrate communion once a month on the last Sunday of the month. Anyone who believes and confesses Jesus as Savior and Lord is welcome to join us.
  • An offering will be taken as an act of worship for those who consider Parkway Community Church their church home. Guests are welcome, but not expected, to participate.

WHat should I wear?

Parkway is a family community and we want you to wear whatever attire makes you feel comfortable.

On a typical Sunday morning, you can expect to see everything from shorts and flip-flops to jeans, dresses, shirts and ties.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Our 1st Impressions team will be happy to help direct you once you arrive. Look for one of our team volunteers wearing a lanyard that says, "I Can Help" for assistance.

At Parkway Community Church, we believe it is important for kids to experience corporate worship with their family, and the rest of the church body, as often as possible. For this reason, we keep kids K-5th grade in the service until right before the teaching portion; they are then dismissed and escorted to the Ed Building for the remainder of the service.

Infant and preschool kids can go to their class for the entire service, if the parents desire.

Children's Ministry teaching (Nursery-5th grade) is provided every Sunday for both the 9am and 11am services.   Parkway Community Church Kids leaders are people who are passionate about teaching and are all Livescan fingerprinted.  Sunday school is traditional, with small classes and Christ centered gospel teaching, and age appropriate activities.

Middle School (6th-8th grade) has Sunday School during our 9AM service only.

There is a Cry Room available for mothers and babies. This room has a live stream from the worship center, so that moms and dads can stay engaged while tending to the needs of their kids .  A private rocking/nursing chair is available in the nursery as well.

Valerie Ackermann is our Director of Children's Ministries, and you can contact her here with any additional questions you may have.
