Blast is an after school program on Wednesdays in the fall and spring from 3:30-5pm. It is wild play time, yummy snacks, large group games, Bible stories and verses, small group time and making friends. We end Blast with STOMP worship choir practice. See below.
During both services, we have full traditional Sunday school programs for all in engaging kid friendly spaces. We use Children Desiring God curriculum in our classes.
Nursery Ages 0-3
Enter door off lobby, near women's restroom. Separate diaper changing room attached. Parents will be paged if a change is needed
Preschool and Kindergarten Ages 4-5
Enter through door near back of sanctuary on the left side facing stage.
Kids worship with their families at the beginning of the service and are dismissed and escorted to their classes before the sermon.
Classes are divided Grades 1-2, and Grades 3-5.
Each summer during the last week in July running into August we take all our youth ministries to Hume Lake Christian Camps. Kids who are entering 3rd-5th grade may come to camp. Limited spots, so please let Val Ackermann, Director of Children's Ministries, know as soon as possible if you would like one of those spots at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This summer camp is Sunday, July 24, 2022 to Saturday July 30, 2022.
Payments can be made through link above. Camp is $700.
We know that you as the parent carry the responsibility to spiritually nurture your child. We are here to help support you in that design through various books and programs available to you and your child. Here is a list of resources we recommend as you parent.
- The Jesus Storybook Bible for ages 3-7, best picture Bible for kids
- Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp, parenting book
- Wise Words for Moms by Ginger Hubbard, parenting help for behaviors and heart guidance
-Children Desiring God parenting books and booklets on various subjects
We are here for you during this busy season of life. On Sunday mornings we have a changing table and private nursing area inside our nursery which you are welcome to use at any time. There is also a sofa and live tv viewing of the service in the conference room during services should you choose to not use the nursery.
Do you have little ones that would like to come socialize and play with other little ones at church? A great time to visit with other moms too in a very low key, show up in your sweatpants, bring a lunch, and enjoy good conversation with other moms.
We meet Tuesdays from 11:30-1:00pm in the church nursery, hope you can join us!
